Description of a 传统的本科 在线 Summer Course

A traditional undergraduate online summer course at 美高梅mgm平台 takes place over a four-week period.  在这四周的时间里, you will be assigned work that equates to at least 40 hours of class time, 加上额外的外部工作.  The assessments for each course are determined by the professor, 但可能包括, online written discussion forums, 研究论文, 选择阅读, 作业集, 考试, 等.  The format for each course is determined by the professor and noted on the Master Class Schedule.

  • IN-PERSON learning is the traditional way of learning, where students attend face-to-face classes at allotted times.
  • HYBRID course combines traditional face-to-face learning in the classroom with online learning that students complete outside of the classroom. The work that students complete online complements the information that is covered in the classroom.
  • 在线 同步 is a fully online course on the specified days and times (the time may be less than an in-person session, but the workload will be the same).
  • 在线 异步 is a fully online course where you work through the material at your own pace and meet the deadlines.

The course may require daily work, or it may require weekly work. This four-week course requires the same amount of work as a course during the semester (15 weeks) but is condensed into four weeks.
